Yamaha has revealed a prototype of a motorcycle of the future with unique capabilities
Yamaha Motor has announced the Y/AI, an electric motorcycle that combines futuristic design and innovative technology. The unique model is capable of jumping and maintaining a “mental connection” with the rider.
The motorcycle is designed in cyberpunk style with angular shapes and glowing elements. Although the basic characteristics are not yet disclosed, we know about several unusual features of Y/AI. For example, the bike is capable of performing jumps for spectacular stunts, and it is also equipped with AI features that allow the rider to interact with the bike on a new level.
There are projectors on the handlebars that display the speedometer and other information as holograms in front of the rider's face. The bike's wheels, which are made of polymer material, are particularly eye-catching, and the transparent and flexible plastic is complemented by LED strips.
The Y/AI is a concept model and is not intended for sale. Its creation was the result of a collaboration between Yamaha Motor and Netflix. The presentation of the model is timed to coincide with the release of the anime series Tokyo Override (“Tokyo Coup”), which premiered on November 21, 2024. The prototype bike will be unveiled at Motor Expo 2024 in Bangkok
