South African company offers autonomous trailer for traveling
South African company Berg Offroad has introduced the new CX3 travel trailer. It unfolds in all directions, making it a comfortable traveling accommodation for 3 people.
The CX3 is 537 cm long and 228 cm high when folded. The weight of the camper is 950 kg. The assembly process starts with lowering the tire carrier and raising the rectangular roof using the struts. It also features a tilting folding front panel that opens up to a spacious bathroom.
Instead of the standard king-size bed, the CX3 offers a queen-size mattress with a unique peninsula design. A rear extension can be added with a single bed to create a 3-bedroom option. The camper also features a spacious kitchen that takes up the entire left side of the trailer. It includes fold-down surfaces that serve as outdoor work tables, as well as a built-in microwave.
The camper's electrical system includes a 1,200-watt Victron inverter and solar panels for off-grid power. Other amenities include a retractable garden hose, a gas/electric water heater and a 180-degree awning over the kitchen.
Pricing for the new camper starts at $31,000
