GitHub Copilot will support models from Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI
- GitHub is introducing multiple models for its Copilot
- Developers will be able to choose models from other companies
- So far we're talking about models from Anthropic, Google and OpenAI
- Anthropic's Claude 3.5 model will be the first to be available there
- Google's Gemini 1.5 Pro will be available in the coming weeks
- GPT-4o, o1-preview and o1-mini from OpenAI will appear later
- You can switch between them while chatting
- You can choose which AI is best for each task
- GitHub Copilot has already attracted 1+ million paid subscribers
- The service also announced its new Spark tool
