Engwe has introduced an electric cargo bike with a range of up to 322 km
Engwe has announced its new LE20 cargo electric bike for long-distance travel. With thick tires, a powerful motor and a payload capacity of up to 200 kg, it can travel approximately 322 km on a single charge.
The bike has a 750W rear hub motor with a peak output of up to 1,300W and 75Nm of torque. It can even go up to 32 km/h without pedaling thanks to the throttle. The European version of the LE20 has a mid-drive motor with a peak torque of 100 Nm and speeds up to 25 km/h. The bike is also equipped with a 7-speed Shimano gearbox for easy riding.
The LE20 can be equipped with 2 48V/19.2Ah batteries providing a total capacity of 1,844Wh, according to reports. Under optimal conditions and minimum load, the range can in this case reach 339 kilometers, and the European version - up to 350 kilometers. Additionally, a fast charger is available that can charge both batteries in 4-6 hours. A color display on the handlebars provides information on the status of the bike and can be paired with a mobile app for more control.
The LE20 is priced at $1,300 with one battery and $1,699 with two. Various accessories are also available for the bike, including racks and baskets.
