Electrocar from «Back to the future» will return in 2025
DeLorean Motor Company announced a restyling of the legendary electric car called DMC-EV. The model is expected to go on sale in 2025.
The DeLorean DMC-EV retains the recognizable retro-futuristic design of its predecessor, the DMC-12. The characteristic “gull wings,” recognizable front end and stainless bodywork remain intact. Expected range of up to 400 kilometers on a single charge and acceleration to 100 km/h will take only 4 seconds.
The authors have abandoned the V6 engine and replaced it with 4 electric motors. The car also received a bumper with glass elements, a large diffuser and a closed grille. Inside there is a huge center console, modern leather seats and a three-spoke steering wheel.
The DeLorean DMC-12 became iconic after the release of the movie Back to the Future in 1985. The DMC-EV will have a starting price of $249,999
