Developed a sensor to continuously track blood sugar levels by ECG
Singular Wings has developed a BEATINFO sensor that can record an electrocardiogram (ECG) and thereby monitor blood sugar levels. The device is designed for continuous use by diabetics.
Studies have shown that low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia) and high blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia) affect the heart, causing certain changes. These are exactly what can be seen on an electrocardiogram. Using artificial intelligence to analyze the extensive data, they achieved an 80% accuracy in the results during the training phase.
The new device eliminates the need for diagnostic needles and worries about the lifespan of the device. The user's electrocardiogram is captured using the BEATINFO sensor, which integrates with the BEATINFO Health app, available on the Apple Store and Google Play. It weighs just 15g and can be worn with either a chest strap or a removable patch.
Singular Wings plans to start releasing the BEATINFO sensor in about 2 years.
