Xiaomi patents revolutionary smart ring with adaptive sizing
Xiaomi is preparing an ambitious project - a smart ring that can automatically adjust to the size of the user's finger. The patent documentation is published in the database of the National Intellectual Property Administration of China (CNIPA).
The new ring is designed using an elastic material and a spring mechanism. This allows it to resize and provide a comfortable fit on any size finger. Apart from the adaptive design, the ring will be equipped with advanced technologies including Wi-Fi, NFC and UWB modules. It is expected to include sensors for health monitoring such as heart rate, blood oxygen levels and step count. The device will also get a touchpad, microphone and speaker.
