New vertical park called Xi'an Tree, created by Heatherwick Studio, has opened in the historic city of Xi'an, China. This unique project resembles a tree and includes 56 terraces in the form of petals.

The park reaches a height of 57 meters. Its cascading garden spaces were carefully designed to represent the route of the Silk Road. Each section represents a unique array of plants, ranging from alpine tundra to dry steppes.

In addition to the park, the CCBD project includes residential complexes, retail spaces, office space and hotels, as well as extensive green areas and pedestrian walkways.

Xi'an Tree has become another significant Heatherwick Studio project after Little Island Park in New York City and the upcoming Cove Park in San Francisco
