The Syntilay brand has unveiled an innovative shoe model that was designed using neural network technology and printed on a 3D printer. Reebok co-founder Joe Foster participated in the creation of the design.
Syntilay became the first company to mass produce the generated shoe. A professional designer developed a sketch, after which the Midjourney neural network created a 3D mold based on it.
Each pair of shoes is unique. Syntilay has abandoned traditional sizing. Before ordering, customers need to scan their foot using a special smartphone app. This data is then used to print the shoes.
According to the authors of the project, this approach significantly speeds up the process of creating shoes. You can get the finished product in just a few days. In case the model does not fit the customer, corrections can also be made quickly. However, scaling such a process can be challenging.
Syntilay shoes are available in 5 colors: orange, red, beige, black and gray. The price per pair is $150
