Sharp unveiled a prototype of an electric minivan at a Tokyo expo
Sharp has unveiled a prototype of its first vehicle, the LDK+ electric minivan, at a trade show in Tokyo. It incorporates unusual design and advanced technology.
The LDK+ features solar panels on the roof and an additional battery that can provide power not only to the vehicle itself, but also to external devices, including homes, in the event of a sudden power outage.
The interior of the minivan features a 65-inch display TV, a table and a movable sofa, as well as thick curtains on the windows. Experts assume that the car will be equipped with autopilot, as the prototype lacks a steering wheel and pedals. Details about the technical specifications of the Sharp LDK+ have not yet been revealed.
The LDK+ minivan is created in collaboration with Foxconn and is based on the Foxtron Model C electric crossover, which is already available in the Taiwanese market. The model is expected to go on sale by 2030.
