1. Introduction and Scope
This Intellectual Property and Methodology Usage Policy (the "Policy") governs the access to and use of the proprietary innovation assessment frameworks, analytical models, scoring algorithms, indices, and related content (collectively, the "Innovation Methodology") provided by Arch Town Labs ("we," "us," "our") via the website archtown.org and its associated subdomains (the "Site").
By accessing the Site, utilizing our assessment tools, or downloading any reports generated by our services, you ("User," "Client," or "you") acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of this Policy. This Policy forms an integral part of our Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Innovation Methodology and destroy any copies of materials obtained from the Site.
2. Intellectual Property Ownership
2.1 Proprietary Know-How and Trade Secrets You acknowledge that the Innovation Methodology, specifically including but not limited to its unique structural frameworks, variable weighting systems, scoring logic, algorithmic sequences, and analytical criteria, constitutes valuable Proprietary Know-How and Trade Secrets of Arch Town Labs. These assets are the result of substantial investment in research and development and are protected by applicable trade secret laws and confidentiality obligations.
2.2 Copyright Protection The Site and all its contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software code, textual descriptions of the methodology, visual diagrams, interactive tools, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by Arch Town Labs and are protected by United Kingdom copyright laws (specifically the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988), international copyright treaties, and other intellectual property laws.
2.3 Sui Generis Database Rights Arch Town Labs creates, verifies, and presents comprehensive datasets regarding innovation metrics. We hereby assert our Sui Generis Database Rights over these compilations pursuant to the Copyright and Rights in Databases Regulations 1997 (UK) and, where applicable, the EU Database Directive. The systematic extraction or re-utilization of the whole or a substantial part of the contents of our databases is strictly prohibited without our prior written consent.
2.4 Trademarks The names "Arch Town Labs," "World's Innovative Network," the Arch Town logo, and all related product and service names, design marks, and slogans are trademarks of Arch Town Labs. You must not use such marks without the prior written permission of Arch Town Labs.
3. Grant of License and Usage Restrictions
3.1 Limited License Subject to your full compliance with this Policy, Arch Town Labs grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to access and use the Innovation Methodology solely for your internal business purposes (e.g., assessing your own organization's innovation capacity) or personal non-commercial research.
3.2 Strictly Prohibited Activities (Anti-Reverse Engineering) To protect the integrity of our Proprietary Know-How, you expressly agree NOT to, and NOT to permit any third party to:
Reverse Engineer: Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or attempt to reconstruct, identify, or discover any source code, underlying ideas, user interface techniques, or algorithms of the Innovation Methodology. Algorithm Deduction: Systematically input data or conduct automated queries for the purpose of deriving the scoring logic, weighting parameters, or analytical correlations used by the Methodology ("Black-Box Reverse Engineering"). Competitive Benchmarking: Use the Services or the Innovation Methodology to build, develop, or improve a competing product, service, or assessment framework. Derivative Works: Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Innovation Methodology or any portion thereof.
3.3 Data Mining and Automation Use of any robot, spider, site search/retrieval application, or other manual or automatic device or process to retrieve, index, "scrape," "data mine," or in any way reproduce or circumvent the navigational structure or presentation of the Site or its contents is strictly prohibited. We expressly reserve our rights under the UK text and data mining exceptions, limiting them strictly to non-commercial research as defined by law.
4. Citation and Attribution Policy
Arch Town Labs supports the dissemination of innovation knowledge, provided it is done accurately and ethically. If you wish to cite our Methodology, scores, or rankings in public reports, press releases, or academic papers, you must adhere to the "Gartner Model" of attribution :

No Modification: You must present the data and scores exactly as generated by our system. You may not recalculate, re-weight, or distort the findings to create "custom" scores attributed to us.Context: You may not use our data in a misleading context or in a manner that implies our endorsement of a specific vendor, product, or government policy unless explicitly authorized in writing.Link Back: Digital citations must include a direct hyperlink to the original methodology page on archtown.org.
5. Confidentiality
If you are granted access to non-public aspects of the Methodology (e.g., through a specific consulting engagement or beta access), you agree to hold such information in strict confidence. You shall take all reasonable precautions to prevent unauthorized disclosure of our trade secrets and proprietary formulas to any third party.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Innovation Methodology is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Arch Town Labs makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, validity, or completeness of the assessment scores, rankings, or the suitability of the Methodology for any specific purpose. You acknowledge that innovation assessment is inherently subjective and that our scores constitute professional opinions based on our proprietary models, not statements of absolute fact.
7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Policy and any disputes arising out of or related to the Innovation Methodology shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of, or related to, this Policy or the Innovation Methodology shall be instituted exclusively in the courts of London, United Kingdom. You waive any and all objections to the exercise of jurisdiction over you by such courts and to venue in such courts.
