Hyundai, in collaboration with TVS, has announced 2 innovative electric vehicle concepts specially designed for convenient commuting on the busy streets of India. These models have been named E3W and E4W.

The E3W and E4W electric rickshaws feature side handles for easy access to the cabin, while retractable steps allow passengers to easily climb up to the luggage compartment. The sloping windscreens provide the driver with a wide view.

Hyundai has used recycled materials to create the body of the new electric rickshaws, which not only makes the manufacturing process easier, but also reduces future maintenance costs due to the availability of spare parts.

No information about the engine and battery pack has been revealed yet. The E3W model is expected to be priced similar to the current offerings in the electric rickshaw market at around $3,410
