Researchers from Ajou University have introduced the INDEX gripper, which has three fingers and a 9-degree-of-freedom.
Tests have shown it can apply up to 40.6 N of force, carry payloads of 12.2 kg, and operate with a repeatability error of less than 0.0244 mm.
The gripper successfully completed tasks like light bulb installation and bolting, highlighting its promise in industrial applications
