Winamp releases source code, asks for help modernizing the player
Who among millennials doesn't know Winamp? For many, this music player is associated with pleasant memories of carefree youth. Now, the developers have opened the source code and are inviting the community to contribute to the project's development. They promised to publish all the "behind-the-scenes" details of the development process on GitHub back in May. And now, they are faithfully keeping their promise.
However, there have been issues with player support for a long time. After the release of version 5.666 in 2013, the developers scaled back their efforts, and it took two years for the first stable release of the software. In May, the Winamp team announced that they would open the source code on September 24, 2024 - 30 years after the initial launch!

Microsoft will have its own nuclear power plant to power its data centers
The technology giant has entered into an agreement with the owner of the decommissioned Three Mile Island nuclear power plant, under which it will be restored and turned on by 2028.
