Vivo has announced the release of the Vivo Vision Exploration Edition mixed reality headset, which will be unveiled on August 21 in China.
The new product combines the real and digital worlds, offering immersion in mixed reality in a lightweight form factor. The device weighs about 380 grams — almost half as much as the Apple Vision Pro, which reduces strain during prolonged use.
The front panel features six cameras and sensors that provide a clear view of the surrounding space and high tracking accuracy. The headset is equipped with a Qualcomm processor, which places it in the category of flagship MR devices. Eye tracking and gesture control support allow for intuitive interaction with content, while integration with the Vivo ecosystem opens up additional possibilities — for example, viewing panoramic images from the X200 Ultra smartphone in spatial video format.
The model is presented as an experimental version, so it will not go on sale in 2025. However, Vivo will offer users the opportunity to test the headset in brand stores and share their feedback so that it can be taken into account when developing the final version. The price has not yet been disclosed, but it will likely be available closer to the announcement of the commercial version
