Uber has invested in the self-driving technology startup Wave, which is backed by SoftBank
Uber announced a partnership with Wave on Thursday that will involve the two companies collaborating on autonomous driving technology.
As part of this partnership, Uber has also invested an undisclosed amount in Wave for a minority stake. This investment is an expansion of Wave's $1 billion Series C funding round, which was announced earlier this year and was led by SoftBank, a Japanese tech investor.
Additionally, U.S. chipmaker Nvidia and software giant Microsoft have also invested in Wave's Series C round.
