The tallest wooden skyscraper in the world is being built in the US
Michael Green Architecture (MGA) from Canada has designed the world's tallest skyscraper built from engineered wood. MGA specializes in designing buildings with minimal use of concrete and metal in construction.
The new project is quite ambitious - the tallest wooden skyscraper. The bureau plans to build a 55-story building in Milwaukee, USA, where, by the way, there is an existing record holder - a tower 25 stories high. The building is not completely wooden: concrete is used to make it stable, but the new project does not specify any third-party materials.
The skyscraper will house a standard set of modern high-rises: apartments, office space, a hotel, terraces, green areas and so on. It looks impressive, especially for those who are tired of identical buildings made of glass and concrete. There should be no questions about fire hazard, because engineered wooden beams and ceilings can withstand fire longer than concrete ones: about 3 hours of active combustion.

The area of each of the 50 houses is 55 m²,
