An enthusiast has invented a unique cheating device by modifying the popular Texas Instruments TI-84 graphing calculator. In its new version, he embedded a Wi-Fi module that provides access to the Internet and ChatGPT. On his YouTube channel ChromaLock, the author demonstrates in detail the process of modifying the calculator. Now users can enter queries from the keyboard and receive answers on the screen of the device in real time. To implement the project, the technoblogger studied the calculator's communication port, which is usually used to transmit educational programs. He created his own TI-32 PCB with a Seed Studio ESP32-C3 miniature Wi-Fi controller costing about $5 and other electronic components. In addition to ChatGPT, the device offers a built-in image browser for accessing visual aids and the ability to download text cheat sheets. The author also mentioned the development of a camera feature, but its details have not been revealed yet. The enthusiast claims that the device will help school and college students in tests and exams.
