SpaceX will equip the crew of the Polaris Dawn mission with smart contact lenses
SpaceX announced that the crew of the Polaris Dawn mission will be equipped with innovative smart contact lenses developed by Mojo Vision. These lenses are capable of monitoring intraocular pressure and providing information about neurological disorders that can occur during prolonged stays in space.
In addition to the smart lenses, the Polaris Dawn crew will use a number of advanced technologies to monitor their condition, including sensors to measure heart rate, breathing and body temperature, devices to track sleep and activity, and communication systems to transmit data back to Earth.
The Polaris Dawn mission is the first spacewalk by a non-professional astronaut. It will collect valuable data on the effects of different conditions on the human body and potentially create new opportunities for space tourism.
The data obtained will be carefully analyzed by scientists in order to study the long-term effects of space flight on humans.
