SpaceX and Blue Origin will deliver equipment for astronauts to the Moon
NASA has split cargo delivery missions to the Moon between SpaceX and Blue Origin for the Artemis 7 and Artemis 8 missions to ensure a rhythmic pace of flights to Earth's satellite. The missions are scheduled for 2032 and 2033, respectively.
SpaceX will take care of sending the lunar rover, while Blue Origin will deliver a station to house future astronauts. In addition, both corporations are working on the manned landing system needed to deliver humans to the Moon as part of the upcoming third, fourth and fifth Artemis missions.
If all goes according to plan, the first human landing on the surface of the Moon in half a century will take place in 2026, and full-fledged residence on the surface of the satellite awaits mankind no earlier than 2036
