SoftFoot Pro, a prosthetic device developed in Italy, is designed to effectively simulate the function of a real foot
The Soft Foot Pro prosthetic leg, developed by a team of engineers from the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), aims to minimize these disadvantages. It is highly mobile, weighing only 450 grams and can withstand a maximum load of 100 kilograms, without the need for a power source.
The Soft Foot Pro is composed of five chains of strong plastic segments, connected together. The front segments function as the phalanges of the toes, while the back segments serve as the metatarsals. Each chain is interconnected with transverse elastic elements, and internal structural strength is ensured by a steel cable attached to a titanium heel.
