Scientists developed health diagnosis system based on tongue using AI

Researchers from the Middle Technical University (MTU) in Iraq and the University of South Australia (UniSA) have created an innovative system that can detect diseases simply by analyzing a patient's language. This will be handled by artificial intelligence.
The researchers trained the system to determine a diagnosis from 5,260 images of tongues under different lighting conditions. They used data from patients with known diseases - asthma, diabetes and anemia. During testing, the specialists placed the camera at a distance of 20 centimeters from the patient's tongue, and the AI was able to correctly diagnose in 98% of cases.
According to the authors of the project, this technology in the future may become available through smartphones, which will simplify the process of obtaining medical advice.
