Researchers from the Middle Technical University (MTU) in Iraq and the University of South Australia (UniSA) have created an innovative system that can detect diseases simply by analyzing a patient's language. This will be handled by artificial intelligence. The researchers trained the system to determine a diagnosis from 5,260 images of tongues under different lighting conditions. They used data from patients with known diseases - asthma, diabetes and anemia. During testing, the specialists placed the camera at a distance of 20 centimeters from the patient's tongue, and the AI was able to correctly diagnose in 98% of cases. According to the authors of the project, this technology in the future may become available through smartphones, which will simplify the process of obtaining medical advice.
