A unique motorcycle called Nomoto looks like a graffiti-covered telecommunications box. However, just press a button and it rises up on its wheels, ready to ride.
This original transportation was designed by Joey Ruiter and is meant to make it difficult to steal. Thieves won't be able to steal the motorcycle unless they know it's there. The Nomoto's design has been simplified to a couple of metal boxes, allowing it to drop flush to the ground when parked.
Opening the hinged lid reveals a basic set of handlebars and a button that raises the body to make the wheels visible. The unit is a simple electric scooter with no mirrors or turn indicators. It does, however, have hidden headlights and brake lights. The motorcycle is also equipped with modest storage compartments and a small seat.
The Nomoto is an example of original design and practicality. However, it has not been put into mass production and remains just an art project of the company
