Radium Performance has unveiled its new Mach One electric skateboard. It is inspired by Formula 1 cars.
The model differs significantly from traditional skateboards designed for quiet rides on sidewalks. Mach One can reach speeds of up to 72 km/h, accelerating to 48 km/h in just 3 seconds thanks to 2 rear motors with up to 8,000 watts of power.
One of the Mach One's key features is the world's first “torque vectoring system”, which allows the rear motors to send more power to the wheel that is bearing more weight in a corner. This improves grip and allows the rider to get out of corners faster.
The skateboard deck is made of 250mm wide carbon fiber and has a hollow construction where the battery is hidden. One 2-hour charge is enough for 48 kilometers of travel. The wheels are made of solid rubber and are connected to the motors by strong urethane drive belts with steel fibers. The Mach One weighs an impressive 17 kg.
At the moment, the Mach One skateboard is available on the official website of the manufacturer at a price of 5,298 Australian dollars
