At the CEATEC 2024 International Advanced Technology Exhibition in Tokyo, Japan Display Inc. demonstrated its innovative ZINNSIA system. It is capable of turning any material into a sensor surface.
ZINNSIA technology allows materials such as wood, stone, drywall and textiles to be used as sensors. For example, an ordinary houseplant can respond to touch and make sounds.
Sensors can be located in any interior object - from walls to decorative toys. According to the developers, this opens new horizons for creating a “smart home”, where you can forget about traditional switches and voice commands.
The commercial launch dates of the product have not been announced yet.

However, it does not cope with complex tasks very well yet: for example, the AI was able to cancel an airline reservation in less than 50% of cases, but this will be improved in the future
