In China, the payment of tickets in Beijing subway using palm
The Chinese company Tencent is responsible for the innovation. It allows you to pay for a fare with the palm of your hand.
The service was launched via the WeChat Pay service. The technology works on the Beijing Airport Express subway line, which connects the city with Dasin International Airport. To pay the fare, you need to hold your hand over a special scanner. It reads the patterns of your fingerprint as well as the veins and shape of your hand. The payment is made automatically.
According to the company representatives, this is done in order to increase efficiency and greatly simplify the work of users. The new technology is convenient for the elderly and accessible to people with disabilities.
In the future, Tencent plans to introduce this method of payment in other places, including offices, stores and restaurants
