Ilon Musk presented the first unmanned robotic taxi Cybercab
The Cybercab features a futuristic design with upward opening doors and an inductive charging system. There are no steering wheel or pedals inside the car, and the interior can only accommodate 2 passengers.
Tesla will need to get regulatory approval to launch the robotaxi. Fully autonomous driving is expected to launch in Texas and California as early as next year.
Travel on the new Cybercabs is planned to be more affordable than on buses - the cost will be about 20 cents per km.
