Hyundai plans to produce holographic displays for car windshields
Hyundai together with German lens and optics manufacturer Zeiss announced a revolutionary technology for cars of the future - holographic displays. It is planned that they will replace traditional dashboards.
All necessary information will be displayed in the form of a translucent interface directly on the windshield. This will allow the driver to focus on the road, minimizing distraction on the dashboard. Car owners will be able to customize the widgets displayed and display only the most important data. For passengers, there is also a holographic display that will show entertainment services without disturbing the driver due to the right viewing angle.
Hyundai will be the first company to completely replace the entire dashboard with holograms, ridding the cabin of conventional screens. The company plans to launch mass production and implementation of this technology in cars by 2027.
