Dogen City is a concept for a city that can withstand any sea level rise due to climate change. It is designed for 40,000 people and will provide them with electricity, food, and water. The city has a diameter of only 4 kilometers and can accommodate 10,000 permanent residents. It can also receive up to 30,000 tourists at a time.
Dogen City consists of three main areas: a residential zone, an underwater data center, and floating structures for public needs. The residential area includes all necessary amenities for comfortable living, while the underwater data center uses seawater for cooling and serves urban management systems and medical facilities.
