Currently, a variety of materials are used for 3D printing, including plastics, ceramic masses, biodegradable materials, and more. Plastics range from low-pressure polyethylene and polypropylene to acrylic and ABS plastic, while ceramic masses are being actively developed for 3D printing applications.
These include porcelain-based materials that are primarily used by companies involved in the production of tableware, such as prototypes, samples, and industrial molds. Biodegradable materials like wood fiber, polycaprolactone, polylactide, and various metal powders are also being explored for use in 3D printing processes. Even concrete has been considered as a potential material for this technology.
