China showed a new android GR-II with advanced features
Fourier Intelligence has unveiled a new humanoid robot. It has been named GR-II.
The teaser released by the company shows the basic movements of the robot - finger bending and stepping. This indicates that the GR-II is an improved version of its predecessor, the GR-I model.
The GR-I has received many upgrades over the past six months, which are expected in the new GR-II model as well. Among the improvements are improved manual dexterity, a wider range of tasks that can be performed, and the ability to be remotely controlled via virtual reality. The Android is also trained for voice interaction and features a brain-computer interface for control.

Scientists have developed a magnetic robot slug for narrow spaces
Researchers from the University of Hong Kong have unveiled a unique magnetic robot slug. It is able to deform significantly and move in confined spaces.
The robot is created from a mixture of polyvinyl alcohol and neodymium magnet particles, which allows it to function as a non-Newtonian fluid. The viscosity of this material changes under force, which opens up new possibilities for maneuvering.
