China plans to launch an observatory in search of a "new earth" In 2028
The Earth 2.0 (ET) project, proposed by the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, aims to use six wide-angle optical telescopes with a diameter of 28 centimeters to observe approximately two million stars in the field of the Kepler mission and other nearby regions. The plan is to continuously monitor Exozemels for four years.
According to a recent article published in Chinese Space Science magazine, the mission is scheduled to launch in 2028.
