CatchPad, a smart puck that tracks progress, announced for athletes
The new CatchPad development is equipped with sensors that track impacts, running speed, body position, reaction time and many other parameters. This allows users to analyze their training and identify problems. In addition, sports enthusiasts will be able to compete in the leaderboard.
CatchPad is a disc with 4 RGB LED panels. Inside the device there is a Bluetooth module, a battery with a 36-hour operating time, a vibration motor, speakers and a microprocessor with many sensors for measuring pressure, touch, force and balance. A special application for iOS and Android is also provided.
The main feature of CatchPad is its AI-based software. It offers over 100 different training settings. The system adapts to the user, provides instant feedback and allows you to track your progress over time. In addition, an online scoreboard with records is available.
CatchPad is currently presented on the Kickstarter platform. Its cost is $99. The kit includes 2 devices along with accessories - Velcro tapes and suction cups for fastening
