Boston Dynamics has released a holiday video. In it, the humanoid robot Atlas, dressed in a Santa suit, does a backflip, landing perfectly on its lower limbs.
The stunt is performed by an all-electric version of Atlas, which replaces the hydraulic model. The robot demonstrates impressive acrobatic skills. It is more compact, making it a suitable version for commercial use, for example in warehouses.
Also featured in the video is the four-legged Spot. He moves carefully across an icy winter warehouse floor to the sound of soft Christmas music
