It's an underground Observatory for new product demonstrations. It's the largest facility to be built since the Steve Jobs Theater opened in 2017. Apple will use the Observatory for presentations and new product demonstrations. The main room of the Observatory features a large window with a “portal-like opening” that opens up to a terrace. The Observatory itself is located on a hillside near the Steve Jobs Theater. To build it, the company cut down about 90 trees on the site, and then replanted them after construction was completed.
