Aircela has unveiled a revolutionary unit capable of extracting gasoline from the air. The demonstration of the device, the size of an ordinary refrigerator, took place on the roof of a building in New York and attracted public attention.
The unit produces gasoline right on the spot. The technology combines direct capture of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and fuel synthesis. At the same time, the device runs on renewable electricity. The resulting gasoline contains no sulfur, ethanol or heavy metals and is suitable for all internal combustion engines. It can be used for all internal combustion engines.
The company plans to begin commercial deployment of its units by fall 2025, targeting autonomous, commercial and industrial users
