Homes in Finland are heated using heat from data centres, which are powered by AI
After cooling the servers, the heated water enters the city heating network, and once cooled, it returns to the data centres. And so on and so forth. For example, Google already uses this method to heat 2,000 homes in Hamina free of charge, covering up to 80% of the city's annual needs, while Microsoft covers 40% or about 100,000 homes in Espoo
