Designer John Lightbody has created the Diana-I solar sail concept, which is intended not only as a means of transportation, but also as a space for a full life.
The main idea behind the project is to replace traditional fuel engines with a huge solar sail that captures light energy and allows movement without emissions or resource depletion. This method provides constant acceleration and makes travel throughout the solar system possible. The sail is controlled in the same way as a sailing ship, giving pilots natural control over movement.
However, the real focus is on the interior space. The living areas are more reminiscent of a motorhome with a kitchen, shower, sleeping areas, and dining area. Panoramic glass windows offer views of space and help maintain psychological balance during long flights. A universal docking compartment makes it compatible with space stations
