Meyer Werft has announced the ship Serenity. It is positioned as a cruise liner for travelers over 80 years old.

The project was presented at the international cruise industry exhibition in Miami, where thousands of participants from all over the world gathered. The liner will be fully climate-neutral, emphasizing its environmental friendliness. Details about its dimensions and technical equipment are not yet available.

The design takes into account the needs of people with limited mobility: wide corridors, clear navigation and communication areas. Serenity is conceived as a floating hotel where elderly travelers can feel free and safe.

Experts predict that by 2050, the number of seniors over the age of 80 will grow to 426,000,000. This will require changes in the cruise industry as well. Serenity aims to create a safe and comfortable environment for this age audience, providing increased care and autonomy
