Researchers at the RAI Institute built a robot to test fast, dynamic manipulation
They can throw at 70 mph (112 kph), catch balls fired at 41 mph (66 kph), and hit pitches up to 30 mph (48 kph). All of this happens at short range (23 ft / 7 m), where reaction time is everything
