South African company Invader has unveiled its new Duo X off-road microcamper. It is capable of turning into a 2-story mini-camp with a penthouse tent and a lower galley with bathroom. The trailer is 4.3 meters long and doubles in size once set up. Its weight is 910 kg and its payload is 620 kg. The Duo X's basic construction includes a seamless fiberglass shell and galvanized steel ladder frame. The camper is easy to tow and features 10-lobe springs to soften bumps in the road. The Duo X rises to a height of 185 cm and offers a queen-size mattress as well as an expandable outdoor kitchen. The roof of the trailer rises with electro-pneumatic actuators, creating a lounge space. The front part is under the roof and is manually installed, forming an entrance 215 cm high. A small room is also provided, which can be used as a bathroom with hot and cold water. In addition, the camper is equipped with a large nose box suitable for a refrigerator and an LPG cylinder. The Duo X is connected to a full electrical system with 2 batteries, inverter and solar controller. The fresh water tank capacity is 120 liters. Preliminary cost of the micro camper is approximately $23,175
