Engineers from the University of California, Berkeley, have unveiled Berkeley Humanoid Lite, a small humanoid robot with an open architecture that is intended to be a low-cost research platform.
The robot, which weighs 16 kilograms and is 80 centimeters tall, has a modular design, and most of its components, including actuators, are printed on a conventional 3D printer from PLA plastic. Thanks to this, the cost of the robot is within $5,000
